Meet The Face Behind Stanton’s Home Inspection Services
I’m Stanton Bowmer-Vath, the proud owner of Stanton’s Home Inspection Services. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
From the time I was young, I have always been fascinated by building and construction. So, straight out of high school, in 1987, I got into residential home construction and remodeling, where I gained valuable experience and consolidated my knowledge.
In 1999, while in the process of buying my first home, I first noticed the desperate need for home inspection services and got my license. In 2001, I established Stanton’s Home Inspection Services to offer the Issaquah, Washington State area, reliable home inspection services which they can count on.
In the years I have been in the home inspection industry, the market has changed to a robust seller’s market, encouraging more pre-offers or listing inspections. When I started out, most inspections were performed after the seller, and the prospective buyer accepted an offer.
The part of my work that I find enjoyable is using my many years of experience both in building homes and home inspection to document potential deficiencies within a home. Not because I like to see “problems” with a house, but to assist people when they are making what could be the biggest purchase of their lives. I also really enjoy teaching people about their homes and not just the problems but also how to maintain the home during their ownership. My philosophy is to “treat every inspection as if we are performing it for a friend or relative.”
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my honesty and integrity.
I attribute my success to my people skills. One of the essential attributes to have in this business is to be able to clearly transmit information about a home in a non-alarmist but accurate fashion.
Getting a direct referral for an inspection from a parent when their son or daughter is buying their first home and serving generations of home buyers have given me immense satisfaction over the years.
When I am not at work, I have a few different hobbies and pursuits that keep me occupied. However, I most enjoy fishing, hunting, gardening, and being outdoors in general.
I also believe in giving back to society. As an adopted child myself and a parent to my adopted daughter, I would like more people to see the need and think about adoption in our local communities.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
